Hey folks, I just wanted to comment on seemingly perpetual TS/Vent changes over the past few weeks. The game is so much more fun when people are in vent or whatever but chasing IPs and application downloads and managing settings is not.

I think the shifting of ts/vent/whatever was damaging the sense of community and our piratey friendships. I am glad it is pretty stable again. Please come back and try it again if you havent been on recently. Its worth the effort. Very Happy

I dont think there are any plans to shift anything else any time soon...

I think switching to vent was good thing, better sound quality and you can play music without mic Laughing

Vent is easy to use after you've used it for a while.

I think it was a necessary change. Voice quality in vent is sooo much better.

We're sticvking w/ Vent. That plan was actually being tossed around (by me) for awhile. Just made the decision after experiancing much better quality on teh Dawgs Vent. The new now old TS w/ teh Germans did sort of confuse things there for a bit though, I'll grant you that. All in teh past now though.

Complete pain in the ass for me to set it up with my major errors n' all. But better voice quality? I don't see really any different change in that department.

But I do agree that it's much different to learn. The only real thing I can find wrong with it, is that it's just like... there. It's not very attractive when ya first get on, like the box is an all "old windows" type style. But, 99% of the time, your not even looking at that.

But, I guess we're going to have to redo that thing on the front page about the TS?

And Brutus, what did you mean by damaging the sense of friendships?

If you can't notice a difference in quality your settings must not be right. There is a very noticiable different IMO.

As for appearance, who cares. Its for talking, not staring.

SD being the bunch of noobs we are adjusted pretty quickly. We helped each other out and are going strong! We still got a few euros we are working on and Dogg says his connection goes to shit when he turns it on but I think we can fix that!

I've been using vent for the last 6 months. I reverted to TS for a new CS clan. Vent > TS by far. Comment, Chat make it great.
