SupaFly posted a good link - mysuperPC or something... I think the stuff that guy used would still be perfect for you. Now go dig for it bitch. Very Happy

RAID 0 wont be that important if you plan on sticking 1-2GB or RAM in it. Wink The 1337 case is an important priority though. That way you can hump it when you cant dl porn. Very Happy

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811999411

suck it up princess Razz

beyond that, if you really wanna build a gaming rig, youd
prolly be better off saving a bit more cash to get to the real bang for your buck line... not saying it cant be done for 600, id just have to do a lot of digging

as for a case

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811144001

its got a 420W psu & its 50 bucks.... yeah you might have to buy a new psu in a year or 2, but for the price, its fuckin pimp

600 for hust the things I listed seemed reasonable, I am going to steal the DVD burner drive and the RAID 0 Drives out of the 1 I have now. Then I'm going to throw my external drive into the old 1, and just keep the dvd player in it.

as far as cases go I was thinking:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16811144090

or

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811146017

also dual core AMD, a really nice MB, and 1 gig of high quality stuff, but yea I said around 600, meaning it can be up to 1,200 (with the tax returns comig soon)

But I would like to keep it around 600-1000

600 & 1200 were 2 very diff numbers last time i checked....

if you wanna spend a grand, i can part you out a fucking kick ass rig that will sqush bf2 under its lil toe & force it into submission... parts list coming soon

edit... just read the dual core part, 1200 is out the window

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813136152 mobo
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814150108 vid card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820227219 ram
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103546 cpu

those 4 things are 1,095.48 before the rebates.. and for the record, i didnt take price into any consideration when choosing parts, i just picked the best shit

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131517 is another good choice for a diff mobo

but anyway, thats basically my comp with a diff chip & i can say from experience that with that ram, it fucking screams, without the 2 gigs of fast ram, it was a bit slower than i expected (i ordered my ram later, thinking my old shit would work right... it didnt, so i went 2 weeks with 512 & it wasnt any better than my old comp, 1 gig made it pretty damn good & when my 2 gig set came, well, like i said, it fuckin screams)

as a much cheaper alternative, you could get this chip http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103539

thats what im running, it has the same fsb & a techinally better L2 cache (1MB > 512kB x 2) i doubt youd notice any difference other than in your wallet... theres my part out, take it or leave it, but for price vs performance, i doubt itll get a whole ton better

Nice rig you go there supa Shocked

That mobo is really good since it has the 2 pci-x and the socket 939 proc. And that video card looks like it would laugh at BF2 with all settings @ high. If anything, I thing those are two things you defenietly can't pass up slaughter.
