YARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Okay, so we didn't figure everything out quite yet, but I want to see our projected turnout Razz

Feel free to post your team roster here. All you need is three and only three players, one of which is a captain. Please denote the captain with a (c) or a * or a C in circle or whatever - otherwise I will assume the first player listed is your captain. Please note the captain is the one who does the fun work. Post as I have and I will add to my post Razz

You DO NOT need a team name, but you can make one up if you wish. Scoring will not use team names, just abbreviated player names. I strongly advise against creating special in-game tags or names or whatnot - my focus here is simplicity and actual gameplay, not marginal bullshit. Smile

WANG! It isnt "some" of the details... We talked for like 2 hours and didnt get past more than a rough concept in terms of detailing the event. Smashed

I know I am playing role of nervous nancy here but dont get people too hyped for something we havent even defined all the problems with - let alone defined the answers for.

I think we might be too late. I AM already excited and hyped enough that I'll force myself to make it happen. Jabber and I discussed things quite thoroughly and we figured out a decent login / scoring tally system. Now, we don't have the ranking algorithm, but we need no compilation period - with our system ranks can be recompiled instantly. INSTANTLY. I was hoping to catch you on AIM. I was very late getting pirating...

You need to get the people running it excited and functioning first - not the players. Knowing the scope of the event is good but nobody has solutions to even half the issues we identified and there are surely more issues still.

Start rounding up slaves now instead of players. Then we can brainstorm with a larger group and know what kind of manpower is available when considering solutions.

I recommend posting the sign-ups on BFP_Events instead of here too. Maybe put a link here to the forums there.

I will be on until ~2am if you are kicking around still tonight.

Edit: guess you are gone... Sad

My concern is yet another failed Pirates event. I think that might be 3rd or 4th in a row that has sunk. Has nothing to do with you Wang. I just stopped going to bfp_events and want to use this energy for good - not more evil. Wink

People can sign up. It doesnt hurt the playing teams or the people trying to plan it.

I am just afraid people will get discouraged if they think it is starting this weekend or something... Who knows maybe it can??? I wont place bets on it but who knows. Wink

i agree with brutus, i think it would be better to wait until after all the details have been worked out before we start taking people. we want to have a good system setup and ready to go first.
