I spent a lot of time improving Battlefield Pirates 1.0. Please take the time to try this new version. (Please don't get upset CT.)

This was how I set everything up:

I made a BFPirates_Final shortcut in the installation file. In the clickteam install creator, I selected that file and wrote the following:

Start Menu tab:

Folder: BFPirates_Final
Name: #title

Shortcut tab:

Desktop shortcut name: #title

After that I made a Pirates.cmd file. In the clickteam install creator, I selected that file and wrote:

View/Run tab:

Run: Before end page

Maybe in a future release, someone can come up with an easier method. (I tried to mess around in the miscellaneous tab, but I couldn't get anything to work.)

I made a list in the installer. It lists some of the things. Basically, I fixed map descriptions, targas, area values, thumbnails, gameguide.html, floating objects, spawns, added a new level, useless files and folders in rfa's, like ctf when it doesn't apply and tdm, OSID values and team values (it's very annoying when an OSID is set but not a team. The only reason to do this is something like Tides of Blood because of the ships), ect. Btw, Sanctuary owns Brutus. That must of taken you forever. That custom object wanted sign in short on supplies is also very pimp. I just added my name in the special thanks column. All the credit still goes to you guys.

Telling you the same thing I said on BFPE, you are not allowed to release any kind of "official" patch. You are not a member of the BFP dev team, nor Scurvy Cove productions, and didn't run it by Detrux or Smiley, I highly suggest you take the link down, and rename it.

In all seiousness Troy, you have no authority to make anything even closely related to an "official". We (well, Brudio and the creative folk) had permission and it still took an act of congress to get anything released. I wouldn't try marketing what you made as you are right now unless you want ole Lawrence Brown (a.k.a. Guy Smiley) to break one off in your stern.

yeah, so basically, we put a SHITLOAD of work into pirates (shitload is by far an understatement) and you think you can "fix" it just like that... more of an insult than anything

also, i would seriously consider taking the 1.1 off of it so ppl dont think this is "official" & if you plan to market it is "official" im sure there will be fallout (im not the IP owner, so i cant say for sure what it will be, but trust me, i doubt itll be pleasant)

so in short, as far as im concerned, you can take your "improvement" & turn it sideways & shove it in the most uncomfotable of places, we dun want none & to come in here (after being banned (repeatedly)) and basically slap the mod team in the face is just fucking stupid, wheres shoes & his golden fuck you award??

Actually I didn't like the term final. SOunds so pessimistic. Final 1.1 would be cool. I can think of plenty to add.

I would not call it official though Troy. That shit is "owned" for real. You need to call it a "fan mod". I am hoping we (the community of mappers) can release a map expansion pack soon. Don't know if we will make it official or not but we might try.

Supa gets props for 'official' too. He actually found out what was needed. I just steamrolled forward in ignorance - making shit harder for us in the end. It was an interesting experience, and not to be taken lightly.

Thanks for Sanctuary kudos. It DID take a long time - an ardous exercise in map making to be sure (perhaps 80 hours including multiple failures human and computer). But I fucked up the gameplay. I recommended it was removed from our server rotation then pulled it myself.
