I'm with Rally. Jabberw0cky is addicted to that but I'm saying no. He and my friend Mark play with Shnagenburg and all of his RL friends down in wherever the Shnag be livin. It seems pretty stupid. Jabber always says dumb things like "well i'm going so much faster than my guild i'm going to make a new char and catch up to them instead" .. and I said .. "why not just slow down and ply BFP some more?"

:/

It's only worth it if you've got RL buddies/old gaming friends to play it with. You need to play it with buddies or you'll get bored fast. Also don't overplay it or you'll become sick of it too.

you can't really crack mmorpgs unless the devs are idiots, and while the blizzard devs are stupid sometimes, they aren't idiots.

peachy hit the nail on the head. if you have friends to play with the game is awesome. I overplay it, just like i overplay every game, and so far it's awesome. i usually only last 1-2 months in MMORPGs and i'm on my third month and it's awesome.

You can play it casually, but like rally monkey said, you'll get killed by the hardcore players. MMOs (with a few crappy exceptions) are based a lot about time put in rather than skill, until you hit the level cap and get all the best armor and weapons like everyone else has, so THEN it's based on skill, not always 1v1 but more in groups.

I would definitely consider it worth a try. Once you buy it you get a free month anyway, then you start paying. If you play my guild (me, shnagenburg, and all of his real life friends and some cool people we've met in wow) can help you out a lot and i think you'll have a lot of fun, especially when you get in our ventrilo server and we're all talking as we play and whatnot.

I definitely consider $15 a month worth it, but if you really can't part with that much a month, just get that PoS guildwars that's coming out soon- although once people get addicted to that and buy the expansions that come out every 3 months for it, the guild wars execs will be laughing their heads off at the people that bought it because it had no monthly fee.

WoW is awesome.

My roomate has become addicted to it, he is starting to smell funny Very Happy

I like MMORPGs but I aint paying for them. I am playing Anarchy casually not paying either. Try Guild Wars when it comes out, there will be no monthly fees.

i'm addicted to wow and i shower every day Smile

guild wars might look cool since it has no monthly fee but i'm sure that everyone who plays it will buy the expansions that they're planning on releasing every few months or so, so the point is null and void.

i tried AO and it was too hard to get into without friends that played it, and i only knew one person that played it at the time. WoW is a lot better for beginners to MMOs and casual players, and is good for hardcore players too.

AO sucked balls. Period.

I'm surprised Jabber made those posts and isn't owning some dwarves or something.

Drunken Monkey:  bots are getting silly
Comradekil:  Sup dudes
Messy Recipe:  the BAR-1918 always felt so good in that game
Messy Recipe:  I miss vanilla 1942 as much as Pirates... need to see if the Origin version (or even original) still has anyone playing sometime

[BB]Piccolo:  Anybody playing Sea of Thieves?
[BB]Piccolo:  I'm amazed I actually still knew my login. We Black Buccaneers certainly had a special relationship with you Cut Throats. Nothing like a fierce rivalry to make the battlefield exciting, eh? :)
