Mouse Problems

I use a Logitech MX310. Its been fine for over a year. However, recently, it has become very screwy. When I plug it in, a few minutes later it would just stop working. The laser is still on[its optical] when it is not working, but I cant do anything else. When I replug it, it works again, however, it stops working again after a few minutes. Then I replug it again. Same thing over and over and over. Usually when I'm in the middle of a fight in any game it does that, so you can tell that it can get VERY annoying...

Any help would be appreciated.

I brought this mouse for $40, thats why people call me a haxor ingame :p

I currently am using the mouse that came with my comp.. and it sucks...ass... Wink

If its USB try using another port.

If you are using Logitech software try removing it and using whatever Windows offers instead - or, if attached to Logitech software, reload the Logitech software...

You might also try removing and reinstalling the drivers.

Stop feeding it cheese.

Buy a new computer to test if its REALLY a mouse problem. Wink

1. I've tried all usb ports, same thing.

2. I'll try doing that.

3. I feed it milk, because milk is leet.

4. I tried it on my brothers comp.. same deal.

kind of an odd prob, sounds like a software prob, but i really dunno

if u really wanna dig, inspect the wire & look for any bad spots, there might be one thats intermittently making contact... im kinda surprised tho, i happen to know that brudio & sprite have the same mouse & as far as i know theyre problem free & i have its bigger brother (the 510, 2 of em actually, one for my laptop) and ive been problem free as well... as far as software goes, do u use the logitech stuff that comes with it or just plug the fucker in (i use the latter approach with great sucess)

ps: while youre kissing milks ass, look for some of the microphones he keeps "breaking" i bet jimmy & slaughters mics are up there somewhere too Razz

Ok look, don't criticize for kissing ass, you seem to know alot about that if I recall? Wink

And if you were in a family of 5, using the family computer, then you would understand why A. my computer sucks, and B. my mic's keep breaking. (I use a headset for your info). And yes, I do happen to have slaughter's and jimmy's mics, but they work just fine.

And for the record, I only build strong bones, not rebuild piece of shit mice.

I already had the old drivers installed, I installed the new ones but I still have the same problem. Any idea on how to uninstall'em ? Maybe it'll work that way.

Ah, Milkz0rz is right for this line. His computer is okay for offline stuff, but going online, SUCKS. His little siblings like to tear up stuff as well... their havoc can be deadly.

You can tunnel down through the control panel a few different ways to get at the drivers.

I think like control panel >> hardware >> mouse >> hardware >> drivers

Also device manager I think.

all my computer periphials are from logitec, my "meese" also, my steerin wheel, an me joystick, neither of which I use, by the way Razz
