Well, here's the scoop. I'm a band geek, and I've been asked to go to a magnet high school's winter formal dance by a girl who's artsy, and not a tremendous (l)ooker, but very nice. This happens on friday night. I'm certainly going.

Just for kicks, though, I'd like to hear some advice one could have for a band geek with sparse romantic history. Whether I actually take it under advisement is irrelevant.

So... let's hear it. I'll tell you guys how it goes, too.

Looks aren't everything, personality is much more lasting Wink

1. no matter what, compliment her on how good she looks

2. Bring a gift, a corsage perhaps (extra bonus: bring her mom a small bouquet)

3. Even if the dance is crappy, act like it's the place to be, especially with her

4. Don't ditch her to go hang out with your buddies, give her your undivided attention

5. Dance as often as she wants you to, don't make her ask you

6. You do all that and you'll be ready for my advanced course Wink
