Well my birthday is coming up in about 2 weeks. Im looking forward to getting a tattoo but I cant think of what exactly. Anyone want to throw some ideas or draw one. Just want it to be pirate related of course. I need something cool enough to last me when I get old and wrinkly.

I would get something that has some meaning for you that isn't likely to go away over time. You like pirates now, but what about in 10 years?

I've got an Italian and Irish flag in honor of my grandfather and great-grandmother (yes, even though I don't look it I'm almost 50% Italian).

If I get a tatoo it will be a black axe on my arm or back, that's just my persona. My brother is going to get the Jaegermeister deer on his arm and I may go with him.

But get something meaningful that you can live with forever.

I have a Japaneze sword from WWII my dad brought back with him along a this cool and funny document they gave peeps for crossing the International Dateline (framed and mounted on our staircase).

Shoes exactly, I had it framed (it's dated 1942 or 1944). My dad was an Army Air Corp (Airforce before the airforce) mechanic and worked on the Mitchell bombers.

The Air Corp island-hopped across the Pacific. After the marines would take an island, the Air Corp along with the Army Corp of Engineers would build a temp airstrip, set-up temp hangers and get the planes ready for the next island bombing campaign.

I found this shellback paper just a couple of years ago (going through my dad's stuff aftet he passed-away) now it has a place of honor in our house.
