a flame thrower kit.

now hear me out, they actually did have a portable 20 lb piston Greek fire shooter with special candle at the mouth. it could even shoot a good 20 feet or more. the problem was ammo. it ran out after about 4 pumps, and was hard to re load in the field.

they where actually used a lot more than you would think as well.

other little known kits/field artillery

hellapols= a huge ballista powered by sinu (animal guts) that usually fired a stone about 200lbs (they actually built a working replica last year that could fire a 240lb stone over 1,000 yards........but i don’t know why it has nt been on tv other than that it was built by a billionaire that wants his privacy)

anti Calvary spikes= the origin of the modern jack thing that the ofg'ers might know about. about 1 1/2" they would be scattered across a field and get stuck in the horses feet, often disabling them for life.

the slinger. believe it or not, for much of Romes history, a very important part of the army was slingers. they used specially cast lead thingies that caused great damage and pain to those they hit. they are also very important in the modern day because there where so many used in a given battle that battle field archeologists can use them to get a better idea of exactly where everything was, and what was happening at what part of the battle. in other words, we would not know any where near as much about roman tactics and battles if it was not for these seemingly unimportant pieces of lead.

Yes you can then post page long rambling topics, and only remember to put what you wanted to say in the last possible sentence.

CL was supposed to be out a really long time ago about 3 times.

Once was for the full blown version that no one really set, so that didn't count.

The second time was when said that all you need were maps.

The third time was the when you guys shortened it (beginning of summer) and said that all the maps were done, but you just needed new concepts to put in the maps.

Now we got a new one.

Wait till CTI is done. Considering the obvious, you'll finish the CTI Graphics Design part then begin making graphics and eventually forget about CL till someone brings it up once mo'.

Either that, or this post will provoke you to make CL sooner to prove meh wrong. Twisted Evil Either way, I win. Muh ha ha ha.

Drunken Monkey:  doing well, been building a hobby ranch of my own, got married, no kids, only dogs, sheep and a horse

Comradekil:  so anyway, i wonder how everyone's lives all progressed.. who's in jail? who's grandparents now.. ha life
Drunken Monkey:  and yes....i do miss 1942 aswell, i honestly think it is what drove me to get a M1 garand in real live, and is still my most used rifle
Drunken Monkey:  bots are getting silly
Comradekil:  Sup dudes
Messy Recipe:  the BAR-1918 always felt so good in that game
Messy Recipe:  I miss vanilla 1942 as much as Pirates... need to see if the Origin version (or even original) still has anyone playing sometime
Stealth:  Hello all! Head to the lounge and post a memory!
Stealth:  I saw a BF1942 fraps video of a guy jumping out of a plane and RPG'd another plane. I immediately came here for nostalgia. Miss you all.
Messy Recipe:  I've not tried Sea of Thieves... kinda was bummed to learn its servers don't allow many simultaneous players. gimme 32v32 galleon fights

Drunken Monkey:  merry Christmas you lot
[BB]Piccolo:  Anybody playing Sea of Thieves?
[BB]Piccolo:  I'm amazed I actually still knew my login. We Black Buccaneers certainly had a special relationship with you Cut Throats. Nothing like a fierce rivalry to make the battlefield exciting, eh? :)
