Ok so it prolly getting a new computer,and i need some help with it. it just need to be able to play bf2. i was thinking bout this:

1024 mb ram

some ohter shit with atleast 2ghz

geforce 6600 gt 128 mb
160 gb maxtor hdd

about mobo and shit i dont know, so gimme youre idea's

go ahead and get a 256meg 6600, I just bought one so I could play BF2 and still have to set it to low.

I have 256meg Radeon 9600 XT-4 and can run bf2 with almost everything high if i have sound as low.

Ok, here is my reccomendation.

Get at least 1-2 gig of ram. 1 for performance, 2 for an investment. Get either an agp or pci-e capable mobo/vid card. Again, agp for performance, pci-e for an investment. Whatever you do for video, make sure it has at least 256mb o mem if you don't want to buy another one in a year. I would reccoment a 3.0 ghz athlon processor probably with at least an 800 fsb. Make sure you trick out your case excessively (fans, leds, etc.). Also, don't buy cases with too many protruding parts that are just asking to get broken off.

so, there's my 2 cents

edit: ma bad, highest amd i have seen is a 2.8 w/ 1 ghz fsb

no but i will be in a week or less.

sorry i have not been on the web site in a wile.

i had to compleatly re wire the house hold phone lines. it turns out that when the house was built, they fed it up, and it finaly shorted out compleatly. it works fine now though............just at 28.8 though v the 5mb + i get in high speed
