my IE is dying?!

well, I do believe my IE is indeed dying... whenever I right click in IE, a transparent box pops up instead of the options box thing... and occasionally, I get this REALLY annoying error message saying something about C++ error or something.... I'll get a screenshot next time it pops up....

should I just get firefox? Razz

I have no idea how to fix it, I never fixed mine, I just got mozilla. and mozilla = better than ghey IE.

Can u fix ie? Its part of windows so u cant just reinstall it, or u can reinstall whole windows. Just get firefox, its 100 times better than ie.

i dunno, looks like a runtime library file got corrupted or something. do you run spyware software often? maybe try anti-virus too.

maybe you other guys should try to help instead of just telling him to switch browsers.

anyway, the first thing I did was run Spybot, Norton Antivirus, and Pestpatrol (yes, I have all 3) and nothing was found

windows update maybe??

basically, the internal working of IE are corrupted, MS knowledge base didnt give me a direct answer, but it kind of gave me a picture of whats goin on...

basically a reinstall is in order... i dont know if windows update will replace the files correctly or not, but if u really want it fixed, i think you might have to install windows over itself (sometimes that goes just fine, sometimes it corrpts the registry & u lose everything... my record is like 6-2 in favor of it going fine)

it's probably just some fucked up DLL file, since DLL errors will give you that kind of message, they usually reference the cpp file that the error was in.
