I played the hell outta Vice City. I have San Andreas for the PS2 but haven't played it but once. I got XBox the same day so I've been playing it instead. I'll probably get San Andreas for XBox when it comes out.

Thumbs up Thumbs up Thumbs up Thumbs up

I give it 4 outta 5 thumbs up. Awesome game! Haven't played SA yet but the other two were VERY well done.

Few games are better, my quick 5-thumbs list being:
Mafia, Jedi Knight II(both), Far Cry, NOLF(both), HL(both), and BFPirates of course being the best! Very Happy

BAH! you guys gave played vc not sa, thats the greatest one.
I have playrd GTA 3, VC, and SA GTA3 was amazing, and when VC came out it was dissappointing. The missions combined with the owning business were annoying. Also the game was a lot like GTA3 very few weapons/cars/other things were added.

This is why I love SA it has the perfect combo of owning businesses and running missions. And there were so many cool new things along with the greatest things from the older games. They have brought back the hunter, a military assault helicopter, and they also have several new bikes, and other vehicles. Another thing you can do when your bored is Gamble at the casino, or Go to the track and watch poorly animated horeses loose all your money by loosing the race. The only thing I dislike about this game is the gangsterness, as opposed to being someone in the mafia. I love the mafia flicks, and mafia stoiries, so it was a little dissappointed that I was stuck in a gang.

Overall I think SA is the greatest, and can't wait for the next improvement.

Confused srry a little wordy I got carried away

I want SA! It does look the best - but I only play on PC. I am waiting...

These GTA would be a 5 thumbs if not for the poor vehicle missions you mentioned. They often times make no sense.

I love SA, almost got 100% on it, but I don't think you can, the game's very glitchy and if you save in a certain spot at a certain time you LITERALLY cannot get 100% on the game... personally, though, VC is my favorite. CJ is a little annoying, and Tommy was just cool. Cool

I have VC for the PC...no SA yet, when does/has the PC version of SA come out?

I screwed with my carcols file in VC and changed all the vehicle colors...got rid of the nasty green on the cop cars, made it black instead...and I replaced the generic delivery trucks with a mod that makes them trucks from Krispy Kreme, a newspaper, and some other companies...and I have a hummer mod that makes it into a real-looking hummer Very Happy

The PC > all others - you can aim with the mouse and not the clunky lockon feature (and can still turn that on if you want to make someone stick their hands up), and you can fix bugs like the one that puts the Cuban outfit behind an invisible wall if you do a certain mission before another, by modding out the invisible wall.

If Whooman was still around, he could show you the car models that he did.

Mafia got great reviews everywhere! (NOT on console though, just PC version - maybe thats what your source meant) One of the best storylines I've seen and all around AWESOME game. Classic IMO. I'm lazy too but these 2 games are worth special kudos. Very Happy Here are 2 reviews for Mafia if interested:

http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/mafia/index.html?q=mafia
http://www.pcgamer.com/reviews/archives/reviews_dec02_mafia.html

FarCry is also one of the best! Thumbs up It also got awesome reviews from the big guys but because it wasn't EA or Sierra it got zip for publicity. 2 more reviews for FarCry:

http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/farcry/index.html?q=far+cry%5C%5C
http://www.pcgamer.com/reviews/review_2004-08-02a.html

If you are between games then both of these are titles are now available at discount prices. Both are SOO worth your time, let alone the measly $10-20 cost!!!

p.s. Bender, don't go into detail. I will SO get GTA SA when out for PC regardless and I'd rather just be pleasantly surprised. Very Happy
