Hey guys,

Want to help design the three team flags for Mist?

Thats pretty much it. Post here with some examples. Winner gets a honerable mention in the credits:)

Oh somthing to note guys, CT = Blue, BB = Red (or black) and CP = Green.

Damn! a psychic. I thought I remembered reading the colors on the Mist site and came back to reply when I couldn't find them. Was it blue and silver??? Just blue and... anything? black and anything? etc.......

We had a design from him, but it was alright. I cant find it now too.

Blue and grey/silver CT. BB, Red and Black. CP? Green and... somthing.

Hopefully you are looking for stuff along this line. I left them as two colors so you can easily modify them to match anything else already colored (so you'll have to scar them and grunge them up after Very Happy

).

If you dont end up with any acceptable flags and want me to try something different just send me some guidance.

Did you draw those or get them from somewhere else?
They look all pixelated like they are resized images.

I dont understand your question but all are very unique - I promise. Both skulls were modified overlays of modified pictures of real human skulls with perhaps another 5 rounds of changes to get them "just right" to me. The doubloon and bandana on the skulls are both rendered from scratch. The pistol is just the profile of the "falcon pistol" shown on the Mist mod website - BB's powerful pistol... The eagle/hawk in the CT flag was taken from King Phillip's famous symetric double headed eagle flag. If you are familiar with that flag then you know the amount of changes used to create something entirely different. However, I suppose both the eagle and its crown were both derived from something similar. (Harldy copied though...) If you'd like I'll post images I used to derive the pics. I always think thats kinda cool. Very Happy

I started doing them all as 800x600 but then figured that was way to large for flags and I thought that once shrunk they might look like hell - so it was my job to submit something that wouldn't look like hell when shrunk to 1/4 size or more. Once I shrunk them I realized I had a lot of blank space and that instead of maintining the classic pirate flag proportions I should enlarge the images to be as big as possible as they probably still wont be visible in the game.

I probably put 6 hours into getting them to where they are already (well I totally scrapped my first concepts for all the flags so it want just these). That's a lot of effort just to post something that probably wont get used or even looked at by more than 10 people. Rolling Eyes

I just said "done" and posted the jpegs - pixelation and all. If these images will be used for the game I would be happy to clean them up and send you bitmaps.

That isn't truly what I believed he was thinking but it was easier to swallow than the "wtf-blantant-accusation" at the opposite end of the spectrum. Wink
