I want to get a copy of illustrator and photoshop. However there are newer versions out the CS2 is CS2 like photoshop 7.0?

should I get the newer version, or stick w/ older 1?

also are there any other adobe product software/other software that you guys use? If so please list.

I am also interested in movie making/editing software, any recommendations?

price is not a issue here, so please just list whatever you think is the best.

I already suggested Adobe Premiere for you, but you love your Windows Movie Maker.

ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/photoshop/win/

^ trials galore. you can test out which versions you like best, use the other trials, etc.

As for movie stuff, lots of people use lots of different things. Windows movie maker, fraps, etc. It's all about preference for the most part.

don't get a trial. the second you download a trial adobe snakes itself into your computer and it's a real bitch to get out (at least it was for me). just be a man and pirate it. they have no good reason to charge >$500 for hobby non commerical use.

or be cooler and use The Gimp for image editing. that's what i do. great free photoshop pretty much.

I put Premier on submarines to offload mpegs of surveillance imagery. It was a sweet program but i don't remember how to do shiznit with it - just that it was cool. Old PS is pretty much the same as the new stuff. I am sure even the old stuff has more tools than you have the gunption to use let alone master.

I use PS: E 2.0 and 3.0

They are pretty user freindly and powerful, I even taught my grandma how to use it, which is a feat in itself. Cool

Yea, good thing price ain't an issue, Slaughter. The trial version just sucks... I was trying to explain to bunny how to being making sigs and I had the hardest time since it's been cut out of the versions. Even if you do register... ya still have the same crap as before and the layout of it is worse than before. Just stick with the original.

I have the CS which is just great. It's a tad bit buggy, but not much (from what i've seen). The Go Live is just GREAT! I love the little guy and I'm trying to learn him. Imageready is wonderful for making animations if your looking to do that.
