Bots for BFPirates!!! ???

Ok guys, I have a practice map with pirate bots running around. Unfortunately they either cant detect enemies or cant shoot.

I think it is a detection problem becuse they dont even act like they are considering stopping or shooting when near enemies. But i r a dum nub.

If anyone has ideas PLEEEEEEASE let me know. It is fun to just massacre them but i would prefer they shot back if possible...

It was the dude who redid Midway, pirates style. (I still have that map I think(maybe)) I wanna say Master Chief....but I don't really remember

Hmm... did he have bots and it just didn't work for more technical stuff? Supa seemed to think they couldn't drive boats and I saw someone posted the weapons were too accurate and objects too complicated, etc.

I already have guys that take multiple routes to simple objectives. I just want them to shoot at me - and each other would be cool too but not necessary. Very Happy

It isn't for offline games - just personal practice and skill development.

Milk, if the Midway map you has even that rudimentary functionality (genius bots that understand a trigger) then please let me know. Maybe I can swipe some of their .con files... Or just use that map and simple it up for them.

brutus, it's not that easy, the reason they do not shoot is because the weapons are not coded for AI use, the BF: P devs didn't think SP was important, so nothing in the mod is AI - compatible. if you want a practice map, you'd first need to make a mini-mod adding AI compatibility to everything, and don't ask me how to do that...

I already have the bots. And I see how to add AI weapons - though I would prefer not to do it myself. The prob is that I don't know how to get them to notice enemies and USE the weapons. I never said it was easy. Very Happy

someone was working on them
they could move around and shoot
just they were worse than BF bots in pathfinding or whatever

Yeah, I dont care about pathfinding. I can tweak that. I guess they do detect me too - after some additional troubleshooting. Guess they just dont have the weapons in the AI database. Maybe I can copy the inputs from that Midway map. OR just use or modify that Midaway map... Very Happy
