Is World of Warcraft worth the monthly fee?

not to go off-topic but I know a game that looks like WoW AND you dont have to pay monthly

Savage may LOOK similar to WoW, but it is nto even close th ebeing the same type of game.
WoW is an MMORPG.
Savage is a FPS/RTS.

actually, any (well not any... any American) that wants a good free MMORPG should check out Knights Online, it looks great and is free for Americans, although I think it was made in Korea... doesn't make much sense to this cereal brand...

after playing a few free korean mmos (pristontale, ragnarok) i decided they're all exp treadmills with no crafting and crappy economies.

Guild Wars should be released soon.
GW isnt like ordinary mmorpg, its more like pvp than pve. This is its strong point, you dont have to play for hunreds of hours to level and be best on pvp.
You reach top level in GW less than 30 hours. After that its all about skill, not how many hours you have played to level your warrior.

MMORPG addons dont get cheaper, especially the way Guild Wars is doing it.
The add ons are they only way they make ANY money, they wont get cheaper.
Oh and have fun playing the 1 weeks worth of game without the addons.
I personally wont be playing Guild Wars.
The second you leave town you are in an instanced zone.
When you leave town you go into a private zone with just you and your group members.
You will never see someone out hunting in the forest that didnt leave with you.

this guy knows what he's talking about. anyway, after looking at the latest patch notes, and after being progressively annoyed and frustrated with blizzard's complete lack of CS and how they don't care about what the players think. a bunch of classes got nerfed in this upcoming patch

Meh I quit WoW about 2 months back.
Just go bored of the same thing over and over.
There is only one MMORPG I'm actually looking forward to playing, but it just started the first Alpha stages.
