CT Video - Do your part

I got a crazy idea this morning. To hell with class or player videos. Everyone knows CT isn't about the individual member's skill, but how all Hell breaks loose when we stack a team. Let's make one big video of the single coolest moments we all can muster. Imagine all the rocket deflecting, dual-ubering, sentry rushing, base sapping mayhem we could compile. Even I would come out of quasi-retirement to get some parting shots in.

I'd love to have one video we can all point to as an example of why our clan is so effective.

I've had this idea before and I agree, it would be pretty badass! I'm definetly down for something like that.

I'd be willing to make the vid if people send me clips, unless someone else want to, then by all means go for it and I will send them my clips Wink

Alright, so I have thought about this more and have some ideas, let me know what you guys think:

1) I think it would be sweet if all the clips were from our CT Egypt server. I have actually been working on making an electronic song for my next spy vid that is rather Egyptian sounding, but I realize it would be way cooler to use that song for this vid.

2) If we wanted to highlight all our members, we could have a few clips in a row highlighting their kills, and then to transition to the next member we can show them getting killed by that next member, so that it goes to that next players freeze frame and we can put their name and what not on it (like in Pharaoh's video)

3) Alternatively to number 2 it could just be a huge random mash-up of clips (Though personally I think number 2 would be epic Razz

)

THINGS TO NOTE FOR RECORDING:

If you don't have a screen recorder like fraps or wegame, you have 2 options

1) Use our nifty replay feature
2) Record demos

While replays are sweet, my main grieveance is they don's show you HUD and such, so you don't see the names of the people you killed and what not

Demos are essentially fraps recordings and record your HUD, you just need to go back later and either record a movie file or Fraps your demo (which I can do if you just send me your demo files). To record a demo (if you don't know) go into console and type "record filename".

Urgh...I enjoy editing. I really, really do. But my computer will not be able to render or record anything '-' I'm mad bro. But yeah, I like this idea. But I think we should also show up in other servers and stack up the teams as well. Oh and docs, make sure you use lawena recording tool. It makes the game look amazing and it hardly uses up any processing power.

Edit: And that tool is just motion blur and a speed increase. Very limited. But if Ben's doing it, it will be sick.

Actually its better AA, motion blur, and color correction. Its not much, but it looks great.

Probably could be done a lot better with a kickass software editing tool. But whatever Ben wants to do. I'm anxious to see it as Ben is a badass. Nuff said.
