Hell, Rommel conspired to assassinate Hitler and was basically condemned to death without a trial for it, so the people who consider your name too pro-Nazi really need to brush up on history. I'm sure they're the same people who are unfamiliar with our nation's constitution too, so I don't take their opinions seriously.

Well, the politics were quite complicated. I don't think he was part of the July plot since he was against assassination IIRC, but he probably knew about it. By 1944, only the fanatical nazis were still pro-Hitler. Everyone else basically hated him quietly. Rommel was also fairly well-known for defying some of Hitler's unethical orders such as executing Jewish prisoners, so it isn't really surprising that he'd be targetted. Incidentally, they made him choose between a show trial (where his family would be executed too) or suicide (where he would be treated as a war hero).
