The game's on sale on Steam right now, you can get it plus all its DLC for just twelve bucks (or only the base game for a lot less). I highly recommend it, it's interesting, humorous, and a load of fun. Plus the multiplayer is hilarious especially when you start accidentally blowing each other to hell. I've been playing Challenge mode (surviving waves of enemies) with a friend while going through the campaign on my own. The campaign also supports coop and there's a versus mode too. Any mode is short enough that you can play just a few games when you have time, but it's also addictive enough to spend an entire evening on if you want!

But don't trust me, trust the Yogscast:

I'm seriously considering getting the paradox complete pack. Someone needs to talk me down.

EU2>EU3, just get For The Glory (which is basically an updated EU2) and Magicka and forget about the whole pack. Never tried HOI3 but I was always pretty happy with HOI2. Haven't heard of half the other stuff in the pack but Paradox's own games haven't been as great since they changed the whole model with EU3.

Yeah, I had already decided not to get it but I was curious what people would say.

I already have EU3 and I never have been able to understand games in new engine. What does For the Glory add? I was a huge fan of EU2, but stopped playing vanilla after a while in favor of AGCEEP.

Well I never actually bothered buying FTG since I didn't have as much time to sit around strategizing once college started (and also I had a bunch of files for customizing EU2 to my liking, like fixing up the music that had skips in it and changing a couple over-water crossings), but I think it includes AGCEEP in the install (think you can still pick between the two though) and just generally fixes up some stuff in EU2 that always bothered people. In general FTG + its AGCEEP is probably the better choice but my lethargy just had me keep EU2 + AGCEEP.

But buy Magicka!

I've got Magicka.

But typically I'm either working and 1% of the time when I do play something, it's usually EU3.

I'm actually pissed at Paradox. I almost got an achievement, conquer the world as Ryukyu. Then as of a patch, it is no longer possible on that game.

Magicka is hilarious, I recommend it even though it's kinda buggy. Hit me up on steam if you need a player.
