I'm thinking about trying out this thing and shelling 10€ to try it for 1 month and see what this is all about.

Just wondering has anyone tried it and what it's like before testing it.

http://www.spotify.com/en/

Edit.

Okeyyy I found an invitation and can use it now for free. Pretty neat thing even tho. it doesn't have every song from all of the artists or the newest ones. But it does have bands like Radiohead, Rise Against(even the newest album), Snow Patrol(newest one also)...shit loads of else.

And the client isn't as heavy as the abysmal Itunes. Music comes instantly without slowdowns or waits.

Fucking mother of god...somebody actually made something I could use in the future to listen my music while on computer. And it's supposedly fairly popular with over 1 million users.

Didn't know that. Well finally it's this way and not the other way.

It's swedish companys service and it's pretty damn great, because it offers a lot of music from my area and you can just use it free. I had 1 hour listening and only had to listen a 20 seconds advertisement for the whole time. Quality of the music is pretty good, not the best one you could get, but still pretty damn impressive.

What I read that the service get's 5000 news songs per day and you might find the stuff today that you didn't find yesterday. Albums even have the regional bonus songs in them.

It's still in beta and they offer invites daily for the free service to keep the numbers down, so that the servers won't get overloaded. I would even pay for this if the price was 50-60€ annually instead of the 99€(for that price I demand more freedom, higher quality and able to download the songs).

Finally we are the privileged ones!

I've heard about the service on a few occasions but haven't tried it yet.

This service is still pretty fucking cool. I have been using it for weeks and I haven't really used anything else since then.

I can hear some new shit every day if I want to and it holds some impressive founds that I have listened(some classical & jazz fusions ect.).

Aaaaaand it's in the US http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvYX_P_c__8&feature=player_embedded

I still use it after 2 years. 10$ a month for high quality music and now you can use it in your phone too! Check it out it has only like 10 hours free listening though(they changed it because they coudn't get enough revenues for bands.....or to record companies), but should give you the idea. It's super popular in Europe and even some music pirates are so convinced that they are using it just because it's that good.

You can storage the streamed music on your Hard drive and can then use it even offline. The client is smooth and only twise I have had problems with it that lasted 2 hours max(service was down), so really reliable. Theres now 5$ option a month but doesn't include some of the features(like smart phone streaming).

A lot of the bands new albums are released on Spotify premium before hitting the stores. Check it out and if you are using a "smart phone" you should be glad what they have done with the client for it.
