This game has so much potential, but it feels like an unfinished mod. I get lots of texture bugs, can't seem to hit everytime and the combat could be much faster and accurate. It is fun and addictive, but it misses that last bit of polish to make it a gem.

I hate the delay I get when swinging, I don't know is it intentional, but it's so annoing. Maybe takes time to get used to, but it doesn't feel right. Sometimes I don't even know does my weapon start the animation. Sometimes I am so sure I can hit the guy I'm standing behind, but magically it doesn't do anything. Spears are even more annoing, the animation drags on and on to the point where it just look's stupid.

Speed up the game, forget the RPG elements in combat, make it much more accurate and brutal(add blood, constant shouting, limbs...), remove the delay and overall ugggggh feel of it. Graphics are fine, can support up to 255 players and didn't seem to suffer from lag. This game could be a big winner, but I don't know can Paradox do anything better to this, they seem to lack the funding and keep shoveling more same looking games without much needed polish in them.

I want that last YAAAAARRGGGHH!! feel to it. Running through the field with 100 team mates, getting shot with arrows and finally reaching the wall where you just swing your axe shoveling those bowmen into small pieces.

yea, it has never been a graphics wonder. But for the scale of the battles, it was a tradeoff. It does have so much potential. But the multiplayer is very good once you get used to the timing of the weapons...

The timing pissed me off a little when I started playing MP, since it is so different from the single player. It makes sense that they would have it like that, though - I can't imagine what the netcode would be like with quick sword fighting from machine to machine, on their combat system.

You do get used to it though after slaying / being slain enough times. Ever see those guys in servers that go like 25 and 3 and just hack their way around? (I bet Brutus is like that)

I wanna be that guy, but M&B is serious business, and it takes a while to get to the stage where you rape people at will.

Maybe I should blast this thing little more then. I did get couple of good horse kills in one sitting. Just when I thought I got it I coudn't hit anything seconds later.

I still wish the game speed was faster, but every server seems to run it on normal. I only use horsemen just because of that, even if I'm playing siege.

Im an uber lancer with my ping hax. Smile Some classes are definitely better than other toe to toe. Its hard to be a raper, but it does take practice. I stopped playing single-player because it hosed my multi-player timing. Razz

Right now Steam has Mount and Blade: Warband for $10.20 and the Original for $7.50

If we ever finish the LOTR mod it will be worth the $7. Razz In my opinion, we have a superior war system, about 5 times the content, and some other cool features. Unfortunately it is taking as long to mod it as it did to create the original. :/
