Over the summer I set up a dual-boot using Vista. I was going to use an Acronis boot manager, but the Vista boot manager decides to override that. Even if I use Acronis, it heads to the Vista boot manager which gives the option of Vista (default) or "Older Windows OS" which is my XP partition.

I can't seem to modify the boot manager to be disabled, or, at the least, default to XP so I can just delete the Vista partition and move on without it. I've already shrunk it a bit, but I'm still running out of room and I wanna ditch it. I checked out some boot options IN Vista itself, but there wasn't anything about the other partition.

Yeah, microsoft os's like to fuck with whatever boot manager is already installed, the only way I successfully installed my os's was using different hard drives, and installing each os while the other drives are unplugged. Once everything is installed I replug up everything and use GRUB to decide which OS I want to use.

Vista on my tablet was a no-go. Something was really messed up with the touch pad and I wasn't sure. Plus certain drivers caused hard disk corruption - go figure that one out.

I love Vista x64 - it's fast, stable, etc. Easy way to manage your bootloader, Wang-

I've used it to triple-boot Ubuntu, XP, and Vista. Easy to configure, too.
