For those of you that play Mount&Blade, Ive been supporting the Tolkien mod - "The Last Days". If you dont know what Im talking about go order Mount & Blade and enjoy some kick ass medieval combat. Its truly awesome...

Anyway, their next release will include 2 easterling nations and a dwarf faction.

Here is the work to date. only the first set is done. The others are just WIP. Before you give me a hard time on the textures realize all 20+ helmets are mapped to 1 (ONE) 1024x1024 DDS file. Wink

Surprised That's really cool. I'll have to buy the game as soon as I have time to play it.

Awesome!

I bought a version of the game when it was $9 or so, I will probably have to check it out again. Razz

I wish it had multi player, that would be bomb.

Maybe. Very Happy But as a beta, its better than almost ANY "production" game I have played. With the exception of Pirates, I have spent more time playing M&B than any other game. Its probably like 10x more.

If you were to quantify a "good" game with metrics like play time. M&B is probably one of the best games I have ever played.

The bonus is that you get a total suite of mods too. Most of which have unique gameplay, objectives, storylines, and endings! Very Happy

I played this game and it has some interesting mechanics, but it's not really enough to get me engaged. The combat is really awesome. Mad skills for that.

I do recommend trying/playing it.

You have to buy it online @ taleworlds.com. V.9 came out today. You can play the older versions too. Most of the best mods are still only ported to V.808. Release 1 final should be in 6 months to a year.

Release 2 will start after R1 is released. R2 will be a multi-player version of the same game.

Its actually been kind of neat to see a good game grow better. I feel like I am almost getting a new game every 6 months for my $20. Razz When you count the mods it feels like a game every other month.

Yeah the .9 release feels new with the new quests, map, and the .894 stuff I never played enough to feel 'old'. .9 is much better than the .894 (I kept to the .808 release and mods).
