http://shop4.outpost.com/product/4799749

400GB Seagate SATA-II (backwards compatible with SATA) for a poultry $80

That equates to 20 cents / Gigabyte, which is a steal. Especially for SATA.

I got it and I'm happy as a clam. It's the 7200.10. Already filling that bitch up. Mmmmmm!

This is the best deal ever thoug:

http://dealnews.com/deals/Iomega-Limited-Edition-320-GB-USB-2-0-External-Hard-Drive-for-40-shipped-after-rebate/173751.html

$70, but a $30 MIR brings it to $30. $70 is already a pretty fair deal for external, $30 makes it a fucking steal.

I was down to 200MB free last night. Should I consider an upgrade?

almost performed coffee-spit lolz at math. No catchy without Supa-mathnet. I obviously needed that coffee...

I SO want to build a new PC. Just waiting for a stable/cheap place for DirectX10 card/OS/drivers/mobo to make 4-way love children.

Yeah. You should NEVER worry about hard drive space dude, it's so cheap per gigabyte now.

Just get an external drive or a secondary drive, put your documents on it (music, pictures, files etc), not programs and stuff. This way when you get around to building a new machine, all of your independent crap is unaffected.

another option is just getting an external enclosure for the HDDs in your comp, get bigger HDDs, stick them in, and you are set

Just to let you know DX 10 cards are only good with Vista and DX 10 games because On DX9 and older you get less FPS because it does not support it....And if you planning on making a Vista PC then you might as well say good bye to some games like BF1942 because it has been known to have some serious issues..Also if you must make one make sure you at least have the Intell Core 2duo since a vista PC works smoother with a 64bit possessor ,also the Price on DX10 cards is not estimated to drop till 2008 or very late this year

Vista 64bit still has a number of issues, so I wouldn't say it's better ... and I'm sure someone will hack DX10 on XP. Alright, maybe not, but I can hope.

Even then they can make Dx10 games only to work with Vista.
