Alright, WTF??

So my BF2 worked great last night. Worked fine earlier today. Tonight I go to play and its FUBAR. Maps load fine. I can move my cursor around during load and I can move it to click play now. It goes to the spawn map however, and suddenly no mouse control. I try to hit ESC to get back to the main screen, nothing. I can control-tab to get back to the desktop but once there, I still have no mounse. WTF>

Well the only thing thats coming to mind for me is that your pc is slowing down and I mean via another application and or program thus when you click it just looks like its sittting there and alt tab or alt control dont work well with bf2 btw.....

Thought about that, but nothing else is running. Game loads fine right up until that point.

So I just re-installed the game and still nothing. Had to install over the previous version because the uninstall wouldn't work. I'm about to get pissed.

I just deleted teh profile, which only removes it from your computer, not their system. You can then retrieve the profile, which I did, and in my case it all worked fine after that.

EA tech area had an article in there that said sometimes freeze ups can be caused by corrupt files in the profile.

Yeah I don't know why I posted that after your post but that solution has always worked for me.
