I've recently got into a euro speed metal band called DragonForce. They are fucking awesome, and really good BFP music. Watch this music video and solo part - pre warning though, theres a chance it might make you go blind or perhaps put you in a coma.

Excellent band, about as fast as you can play and not sound like shit. Blind Guardian and Helloween are the granddaddies of this power metal style, and are still the best in my opinion. I wish Dragonforce had a bit more edge, they at times seem too polished, but their skill is undeniable.

Aye, good comments on their style axe. I think recent metal has been lacking on solos and harmonic sound, probably why the technical solos in dragonforce sound so good to me. The only other band I can just listen to solo for long periods of time is Maiden. I really like Children of Bodom as well, though. (warheart Very Happy

) Im not so into death metal, but they have alot of power metal stuff on their earlier songs.

Ya CoB are excellent, and Maiden is still kicking ass like no other. I recommend some Iced Earth, they sort of fall in between the heavy and the fast I guess. I love metal more than I can frigging express right now.

hmm alright..thats definately is one damn good guitar..but i love sounds where the bass has its own tune (rage against the machine,nofx) probably cause i play bass? but still one damn good guitar player....

BTW dethklok = $2 distortion pedal + my friend can play it.
