Overclock

How do I do it? Fox mentioned changing something in the BIOS. I hit F3 during boot up and see the speed in the CPU info but it won't let me change it there. Am I looking in the wrong place?

is it greyed out?

if it is, there might be a setting preventing u from changing it

look for a front side bus (they might call it FSB or bus speed) setting & up that 2-3 mhz at a time (in reality youre upping the cpu by more, usually x11-x13)

either tha or look for a multiplier setting, but i believe most new chips are locked... to change the multiplier ud need a knife & soldering pen & u get to disect the outer regions of the chip (i wish u could still pencil mod em)

yeah, you are looking for the multiplier....reggy will be 100 or the AMD machine I have, reggy is 200.

I alos put a hotter clock on my vid card, both core and memory

I'll bet the motherboard you're using doesn't let you overclock. That was the issue i had when i was trying to do it with my old dell.

without seeing it, i don't know what to tell you.....in the bios, well in my bios, it is the top selection in the list

softmenu setup or something to that effect, but it is called something different on every board.

it will be on the same screen as your AGP and RAM settings
