You wont probably do the same mistake again. So i think your parents will understand, and no punisment is needed. Punishments only makes you hate your parents, which aint good for any one.

nope, no fines or anything

and that will be a good argument once my parents do find out, luckily it was late enough and i had a cool cop, so he didnt wake my parents up to tell them i was setting fires in the street.

Probably had very little to do w/ the cool cop thing and a whole lot to do w/ the they didn't give a shit. For them to send 3 cars and a fire truck I'm guessing whoever called it in made it sound like you were trying to burn down a house and not burn some little papers.
