Wahoo! The new xfire patch has been released and here's some of the key things I've been waiting for. I'm providing it to you just in case ya didn't read it the first time. There's a lot more of features available.
Release notes for 1.43
* Added a new *BETA* voice chat feature, for one to one voice conversations. Please test it out, and read the FAQ if you have problems. (REALLY wanted this one)
* New Continuous mode in Xfire In-Game shows you all messages you receive on screen at all times. Enable it inside games by pressing scroll lock + x, then F2 for the main menu, then select In-Game Options and then Enable Continuous Mode. (I'm interested in this. Lemme know how it works out.)
* Group Chats are now accessible in Xfire In-Game.
* You can drag and drop friends into custom groups to more easily organize them.
* Major enhancements to the interface in the files tab.
* You can put links to add an Xfire friend on web sites. The format is xfire:add_friend?user=yyy . Change yyy to your username, all lower case, of course!
* We now save the size of the infoview in the main window and chat windows, so if you don't like the extra wide infoview you can shrink it.
* Adjusted the infoview game skins to waste less space, and added an infoview game skin for CoD: UO..
* Added support for the arrow keys in the infoview.
* Fixed extra character when chatting in Xfire In-Game. (What char.?)
* The Xfire window will now "dock" with any border of the screen, and stay that way if you close and reopen the window. This feature has been broken since May 2004, but has been restored due to the constant nagging of TFS|Offy .
* Added Xfire In-Game support to
o Direct3D 9 games
o Men of Valor, Prince of Persia Warrior Within
o Direct3D 8 games
o Pariah, Postal 2: Share the Pain, Red Orchestra, Soldner - Secret Wars, Star Wars Republic Commando
o DirectDraw
o Hearts of Iron II, The Sims.
o OpenGL games
o Return to Castle Wolfenstein
* New games supported: Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill 4, Baldur's Gate, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, Stronghold, Stronghold Crusader, Gothic II, The Sims Online, Magic Online, Thief, Thief 2 The Metal Age, Live for Speed, Spartan, and Gates of Troy. _________________ Motherfucking Triangles! You might want to look at shoes' avatar!
And I've charged the mound when playing against Nugget, so that counts as violence, right? _________________ is now -=|CT|=- Frothy Mixture

yea mine works, you just can't use the voice test setting for auto activation. That'll crash it. You just gotta use push 2 talk. However it does crank your headset volume ALL the way up, so be warned, and pull it away from the ear. also:
DO NOT USE ON ALL THE TIME, USE PUSH 2 TALK.
why you may ask? if both people their's on always on the feedback is like OMFG my ears.....Their bleeding

Just imagin the loudest most high pitched whistluing screech, puring into your ears at the highest volume your speakers can output at 12:00 at night. Then you only have a glimmer of what this is like. _________________ Submit to Milky Way

If no one saw the updates for Xfire, there's a new one.
Release notes for 1.44
First off, a HUGE thank you to all of our fans who have been with us since we first launched in January 2004. This last week we hit two milestones: 2 million registrations and 100,000 simultaneous online users! We've enjoyed building Xfire for you, and we really appreciate your support. Now, on to the release...
* New infoview game skin for Counter-Strike: Source.
* Improved file searching on the files page.
* The client ad should no longer refresh while you're in a full screen game.
* You can now drag and drop your friend groups in the interface to organize them however you wish.
* Added player name coloring in the infoview for Quake 3-based games.
* Fixed a spurious "voice chat disconnected" message when you weren't even in a voice chat.
* You will no longer be set auto-AFK if you're active in a voice chat.
* Major cleanup of the Servers tab code... it should run a bit faster now.
* Fixed CS:S server info player name and server name parsing to correctly show non-ASCII characters.
* Fixed the clicking sound when drawing the infoview on some machines.
* Several quality enhancements for (beta) one-to-one voice chat, including multiple quality settings (in Tools | Options | Voice).
* Added support for Counter-Strike 1.6 server info for old servers as well as new VAC2-enabled servers.
* New games supported: Age of Empires: The Rise of Rome, Sudden Strike II, Scrapland, Mortyr 2, Homeworld Cataclysm, Fate, Dungeon Siege II, Blue Shift, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Soaked, Control Monger, and FEAR SP Demo. _________________ Motherfucking Triangles! The great thing about Xfire is the in-game support. Glad they fixed the docking thing too _________________
