Real and random rebooting

ok for a wile now, my comp would randomely reboot.

it would be fine about 98% of the time and all of a sudden im looking at a black screen before it boots DOS.

i have done many scans of hardware, and all come back as fine and compatoble

as time went by i notised that, all though it dint hapen often, it never hapend when i dint have real player playing something in the back ground.

this last time, i was going from one play list to another, and that cased it to reboot. when it booted up, all my playlists where gone but all the files moved into the defalt all media section. real player was also the only this running that time as well

all the files in there are compatible with real player so i have no idea why it would do this.........

i know it cant be from over heating or bad ram

any way it is not really a problem so much as an anoying situation.

if you have any idea as to how to fix it, or even why this is happening, i would be very happy to know.

uhh... use... winAMP? I've actually had some trouble w/ RealPlayer myself, it never rebooted, but it stalls, crashes, ect... make sure you're using the latest version, and if all else fails, winAMP's good Very Happy

thanks the size is only a temporary problem (IE con speed, and my comp only has wireless or eithernet (im on my sisters comp right now))

ok now that we have solved that problem, on to another.

allthough my case has 7 fans, they are made to run quiet...........not move air................one of them is even dieing...........when you power on the comp, you need to open the case and crank start it Confused

any way if some one can give me a link for 7x GOOD 80mm case fans, that move A LOT of air, pleeze post it

i dont have a problem spending SOME money on this, but i dont need it plated in gold or anything (i also dont need an led lights or anything in them)

I guess you could try this, they say it moves a lot of air, it's cheap, and it works really well

get thermaltake 80mm fans... theyre expensive (about $10 a piece last i checked) but they move tons of air... also the direction & airflow of the case have a lot to do with good cooling.... make sure your cables are all out of the way (the ide ribbon cables are a bitch sometimes) and as a general rule, hot air is on top, so higher fans should blow out, but u want one bringing fresh air right to the cpu.... play around a bit & see what happens
