Wangz0rz passed his permit test today Smile

I missed the maximum of 3 questions on the test (all 3 straight), but I was determined to pass because I know how the DMV is a nightmare for everyone.

So I get up at 7:30ish and we head out to the dopey DMV place that's way out in the middle of nowhere. Leaving early was my folks idea, but I think it was pretty stupid because the line was thirty feet out the door when we got there. Wasn't too long though, but the greeter dude pointed out to us that we needed an additional $26 for liscensing fees :-/ Of course, they won't accept cash, so we ran to a supermarket and filled out a MO.

Fortunately the dude was nice and gave us a ticket so we wouldn't have to stand in line again. We waited a while and then I went to go take the test. I go sit down at the testing station, and it shows my information and to press YES to confirm that the information is correct, or NO that it is incorrect. I noticed that they put a U in my name, so I hit NO and told the lady, who assured me that it was fine and would be corrected later.

So I take the test and I'm pwning away. It was insanely easy. Almost as easy as my A+ primer final. I'm almost done and I miss one question. Then I miss the next. And the next. One more and I fail. I was determined not to fail because the DMV is such a miserable place and I didn't want to return for a while. I aced the next several and passedz0red. w00t.

BUT .. they inform me that the fuckin' Pennsylvania State Social Security network is DOWN. So I've got to return to actually obtain the REAL fuckin' permit. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

That's all, but FTR, this isn't my first experience with the DMV.

hahaha one of the first rights of passage to the miserable and 'non-sensical' world of adulthood. Very Happy

Truth be known: yes, if you miss 4 you fail. If you only miss 3 you are sentanced to a blissful bureucratic purgatory instead. Wink

in MN u can miss 7, bit i think the test is longer

in nys there are 20 multiple choice questions and all you need to get right are 13

In Florida we have to pass a Drugs and Alcohol course and exam, and then two 20 question multiple choice tests (one on Road Signs and one on Rules of the Road). And you need parents consent.

For a license in most places, you need a year of possessing a permit, and at least 50 hours of driving experience, signed for by parents.

Also, as a side note, you probably won't be able to drive at night (after 6 PM in florida) for several months, even with a parent.
