Ok first off I would like some advice as to what new cpu I should keep my eye on.
Yes I have all the power I could want…………for now Wink . But, I know that, in time I will need more (probably 4 to 9 months from now depending on prices) any way, I would like to know if the high end socket 939 amd 64 fx’s will be the way to go, or should I go with the amd 64 duel core in the 4800 range?

2nd topic As some of you may know, Microsoft has bought out some anti spy and adware companies…….. Well now it looks as if they are going to buy the spy and adware makers too
Until now I have had nothing against Microsoft……..but this……..this cant be good……….

Ok moving on……..

Edit: almost forgot, I also would like to find out what software to get.
I need one program that can find out what type of encryption method was used on………say a dvd or game cd. I also need a program that, once told what type of encryption method was used, can decrypt it into a readable and usable file on my hard drive. The main reason for this is so I don’t have to go find my cds all the time. The 2nd is so that I can find and use some pieces of what is on the cd or dvd for a little project I am working on.

And finally, does any one have a copy of win 98 without any specific drivers on it (such as a the cd that comes with a pre built comp from the manufacture) that they can ship to me for a reasonable fee?
:end edit:

Update on the monkey…
I should be back to gaming on Monday, but I will be off again on the following Friday for an un known amount of time Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
I miss you all

http://www.alcohol-software.com/

that should solve ur cd/dvd probs... if u copy the cd's to your hard drive, u can put em in an imaginary drive & u wont physically have to go find em (just mount the right image

http://www.gamecopyworld.com

^^ thats the real solution

the easiest way to create a sound file, with no additionl software, is to set up your recorder to record from your speaker outputs. You can record anything anywhere Wink

Well, I take that back, I use Sony Soundforge to do it with. I'm sure you can do the same with the windows sound recorder

Aren't you going in the Marines? Don't think they have computer time in the barracks on Paris Island.
