We shortened the saga to this:

Episode 1: Podracing, darth maul duel
Episode 2: Yoda vs Dooku
EPisode 3: Obi-Wan vs Grevious, Yoda vs Emperor and Emoboy vs Obi-Wan

BAM, takes like 30 minutes.

If we are talking about Star Wars I didn't even understand what was happening in Epi1-3. Gundas, jedis and some space donuts fought over something. Then Darth Vader happened. Quingon , yarr yarr, Obiewnn---whatver,,,tax clones.

Edit:

Episode One: Was a misdirection aimed at Jedis to fight in a false war. This was to put them out in the open and fighting.

To do this, he sent the Jedi to Naboo to act as ambassadors to the Trade Federation. However, Palpatine arranged the TF to attack the Jedi to spark a war. Palpatine was going to use this to blame the Jedi for causing a war. This would later allow him to acquire the people's trust and be elected as a senator.

Episode Two was Palpatine seeking the establishment of a treaty that the TF successfully invaded Naboo. This would show that the TF is a serious threat that would need to be dealt with and would cause the full on intergalatic war.

A lot of politics play here that forces Amidala to help Palpatine get elected as Chancellor and replace the current one, Valorum. With Palpatine in power, it's a matter of time he arranges the fall of the Jedi, his only threat.

He uses his massively new funds to build the clone troopers.

Episode Three was where marital law was created on multiple worlds and put Palpatine in direct control of the senate. He executed Order 66, which called for the extermination of the Jedis. To make this a legit policy, he provoked the Jedi into attacking him which was identified as treason.

He would later kill the TF's easily manipulated leaders and no one would know what took place.

Congrats, you've now seen all three movies in 5 minutes.
