I've been seeing ads for this for weeks and my curiosity finally prevailed. I went to the website to check it out and now I'm stoked to get into the beta, which starts in October. Imagine a free-to-play version of Diablo (designed by its creator, no less) where you run around as Marvel comics heroes and pound mobs. It looks like a good time.

50% of the community will be Iron Man
30% will be Captain America
19% will be Thor
0.9% will be heroes that are not one of the above
0.1% Deadpool, baby.

I strongly disagree.

Spiderman is Marvel's number one most successful superhero.

Wolverine is also far more influnential than Iron man.

There may be a rise in those characters due to the movies recently, but I don't foresee them overshadowing Marvel's most iconic characters.

I don't think that translates into online FPS very well. A lot of the spiderman enthusiasm comes from the non-gaming crowd I believe. If people have a choice between something that can fly vs. not - I imagine MANY will choose to fly.

I'd agree with you if this was an fps.

Eliminate the need to get places faster, then the flying types no longer become highly used.

Kinda like how the humans have the passive in wow? I can't remember wtf is was called...
