Why was I banned?
-Your account has been banned because it was found to be in violation of the rules of the CTPirates servers.

-A ban does not always mean you cannot come back. Banning a player and requiring an appeal may be used to draw attention to our server rules, especially if misconduct is discovered while the player is not online.

-Bans are necessary to maintain an enjoyable gameplay experience for all players. Please do not consider bans to be personal attacks, and do not panic if you are not unbanned immediately upon appeal.

How do I appeal my ban?
-Post a topic here. The title should be your Steam nickname. If you have changed your nickname since your ban, please use the name you were using at the time of the ban.

-State your case briefly and honestly. We almost certainly know what occured, and lying will not help you get unbanned.

-Take full responsibility for all your actions on this server.

-Remain polite at all times. Avoid profanity and personal attacks.

What happens after I post my appeal?
-The admin who banned you will be consulted, and their name may be edited into the title of your post for reference.

-You may be asked further questions pertaining to your case.

-We may discuss the ban internally for certain cases, but generally, the admin who banned you will be responsible for managing your appeal.

-You may be told to re-appeal after some time has passed or that your ban will be lifted after a certain period of time. In order to keep our rules enforceable, not all bans can be removed immediately upon appeal.

"It's not my fault because..."
-Rules apply to all players equally. If somebody is harassing you, you are not to harass them back. If somebody is cheating, cheating to kill them will not be tolerated. If you know one of us personally, that does not give you freedom to break the rules. Contact an admin if you feel violated.

-You are responsible for all activity on your account. If you allow your little brother, annoying friend, or anyone else to use your account, you are responsible for their actions.

-If there truly is a mistake in your ban and it is plausible that you are not lying, you should be given benefit of the doubt. Prior bans or misconduct make this less plausible.
