It being the summer holidays and all and me being bored I've started playing online poker more and more. Being 16, it's purely for fake "play" currency but I've just finished playing a tournament that lets you enter for free with the possibility of winning real money. Out of 2113 UK players I came 3rd.

Now I got $7.40 in my account but since I haven't fully registered I can't cash it out. The thing is I can start using it to play for real money on the site so I'm wondering if I should wait till I can cash it out(when I'm 18 ), spend it wildly on some tournaments(since I got the money for free anyways there's no loss, right?) or if I should be careful with it.

use to play stuff like that all the time. think i won a total of about $23 on one site..........but i lost the link, and all my account info.......as well as my interest lol.

do play a lot in real life though. maybe if i get the game again i can join in a virtual game or 2 with a new account

Not sure how it is in the UK. But here in the US if you're not 18, It's illegal to gamble (like that stopped me Rolling Eyes

) . But in this case, I'm not really sure if it qualifies as gambling considered you didn't use any money. You were just awarded money for a rank.

Meh, I'd just use it for tournaments since it's such a small amount.

Yeah, if you just use it for tournaments your not technically loosing anything and won't feel like a idiot if you somehow lost it all Wink

Update: I tripled my money the first two days after that tournament then lost it all over the next 3 days cause of a horrible run of luck. Now I entered another tournament, came 6th and won $1.50.
