I saw an disply in a McDonald's recently that advertised a new cartoon featuring Superman. It was at this moment that I realized something terrible: Superman is becoming wussier with each passing decade! Don't believe me? I submit the following evidence for your approval.

The 70s and 80s - Badass

The 90s - Still pretty tough

Now - WTF?

Have I made a believer out of you? Discuss amongst yourselves. I for one believe that the next Batman movie can't arrive soon enough.

I've always found it odd that nobody questions that a mild mannered reporter who has no background of working out has shoulders the size of a small car, so the smaller, wussier Superman actually makes a bit more sense to me.

I imagine Superman must have been pretty difficult to write for, when he fucking shoots lasers, is made of steel, can see through walls, flies, and basically can't die. How do you make a bad guy for that? Probably why every Superman video game thus far has sucked; not every bad guy can have a kryptonite gun; and if they don't, you gotta have god mode over them.

Good thing superman was always such a douchebag in RL or the story would just be too much owning.

Ha! My 17 years of life have proven good for something. As the lifelong Batman man that I am, I was born to dislike Superman just as much as I like Batman. Superman has always been a boyscout. And he hacks. Who the fuck has fucking laser vision? How the fuck can ANYONE stop a bullet with their eye? "Hey, I've got an idea, lets make a superhero thats abso-fucking-lutely invincible. No don't worry, we cant make him vulnerable to a rock only found on another planet."

Unlike Bryan Singer on Superman Returns, Christopher Nolan, his brother Johnathan, David Goyer, Christian Bale, etc. Actually have a brain.

But it doesnt stop there. In order to compete with X-Men, DC has put a movie version of The Justice League on fast track. Will god help us? I'm doubtful.

fuck, even 300 was based off a comic book, and not actual history (and that pissed me off to no end)
