Look's pretty damn sweet if you ask me. I have been waiting for this for a long time(4 years Shocked ) and I'm glad the first screenshots look's this good. They have added a lot of new things(bullut peneteration, cover system, blind firing...). It will come in next year.

Yep. On those screens it's as good good as Brother In Arms 3. But then again Red Orchestra was one of the best looking UE2 games, so I have no doubt that these guys can pull the gfx level even higher. This is still indie developer.

Here are much better HD quality videos from Gametrailers: Part1, Part2

The game has some better functions than earlier RO, but it also has some new things that I don't care for much. Aim-zooming still fucks me up, just because how stupid it look's and feels like some gimmick feature. Same as in ARMAs.
New MG lockdown system is awesome tho. and how the weapons collide to falls ect.

This is just a small part of the game, RO is all about combined arms maps nowadays, so there should be larger maps with tanks and other vehicles.

RO: HOS expansion Rising Storm announced. Featuring pacific campaign and will be released in 2011.

Rising Storm will be created in a first-of-its-kind collaboration between a mod team and a professional game development studio. The Rising Storm team will be made up of the best developers from the Red Orchestra modding community and the mod community at large. This “All-Star” mod team will be will be sponsored by Tripwire Interactive, with the potential to earn real money for their work. “We’re very excited about this new concept in game development,” said John Gibson, President of Tripwire Interactive. “We’ve always been impressed with the quality of work coming out of the mod teams for our games. We decided that we wanted to try this experiment where we would work closely with a mod team, give them early access to the development tools, and give them an opportunity to make some real money from their work. As the lines between developers and modders blur, we feel this type of synergy could be a great thing for the games industry.”

Sounds pretty good. They are taking the Valve/Epic approach and support modding community even harder than before. I would have preferred the western front or even some other eastern European scenes, but I guess it's pretty good. Might be a free expansion or extremely cheap DLC.

Heres some tech demo showing UE3 jungle stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEi7o2Z10aY&feature=related

Soundtrack preview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Be9pRY-PiZA

Drunken Monkey:  bots are getting silly
Comradekil:  Sup dudes
Messy Recipe:  the BAR-1918 always felt so good in that game
Messy Recipe:  I miss vanilla 1942 as much as Pirates... need to see if the Origin version (or even original) still has anyone playing sometime
Stealth:  Hello all! Head to the lounge and post a memory!
Stealth:  I saw a BF1942 fraps video of a guy jumping out of a plane and RPG'd another plane. I immediately came here for nostalgia. Miss you all.
