Don't use wireless. It can fail for no reason, and you shouldn't be lying down for gaming anyway. You wont be playing at full capacity.

I've got a wireless keyboard and mouse for my work computer and it will just randomly stop working for a bit and then kick back in.

I use a wireless mouse, if you don't get a shitty one, and don't keep it near lots of radio activity, you'll be fine.

If anyone ever watched Hook, there is a scene where Peter Pan (Played by Robin Williams) says he doesn't believe in faeries which causes Tinkerbell to die. That's how wireless and I work, every time you use a wireless keyboard I die a little inside.

I use a wired keyboard (most wireless ones don't look that great as an actual keyboard anyway) but a wireless mouse.

This is the mouse I'm using and it's simple and great, never lost connection and have been using the same batteries since September:

I don't think I'd be able to stand having a wire connected to the thing I'm pulling around my desk anymore. Used to have to deal with it catching on things behind the desk, and getting in the way of things on the desk. And it's really nice to be able to pick it up a scroll things with my arms crossed instead of staying in the at-my-computer pose.

I used to use this one which is pretty much the exact same thing but Bluetooth, but the Bluetooth one drops connection a lot, and some wireless routers would interfere with it:

They already have something like that for charging your phone, its a mat that you place your phone on, and you install a battery/receiver into your phone's battery compartment. Interestingly though, this was something presented at TED talks a few years ago, a video of which includes something much more showy :p
