The true spirit of opposition is in circumvention, so do this to get past the SOPA/PIPA protest blackout:

Cool guide. All though I keep ad-block off in order to support those that make a living off adds on YouTube and twitch.

However, being the negative nancy that I am, I cannot condone this as it defeats the entire purpose of this blackout in the first place. ( though you can certainly make the argument that finding the workaround is the Internet resisting.)

TLDR; I'm a douche, and USAF is awesome.

The purpose of the blackout is to inform people -- presumably, most people looking for ways around it are informed. Razz In fact, people running extensions like Adblock (or Noscript, which stops it by default), are likely to know about this stuff regardless of the blackout...

Wikipedia has actually said they don't mind people circumventing it.

Also, I've just been going to google's cache of the wikipedia pages.

I love the posts from people whining about how they can't do school reports with Wikipedia down. For the record: you aren't supposed to use Wikipedia as a source for reports. That's one of the cardinal rules of research papers unless times have changed that much and our school system truly is that inept now. If that's the case, I weep for the future.

No wonder there are activists trying to get iPads for grade schools to "improve education". I guess a half-assed Google search counts as an education now.

I guess they don't know that there are other sites that exist with pretty much the same information, especially if what they are looking up is something for school. And I must say, some of those comments just make me realize even more just how stupid people are (especially around my age). >.<

I used Wiki, not as a source, but because they have links to sources.

Makes it cake.
