Congrats, man. Washington DC is definitely the most worthwhile vacation I've ever been on. The Smithsonian is much more complex than it looks. Leave yourself a couple days for it if you really want to see everything.

Haha I find it so hard to think of DC as a vacation spot since I've grown up right outside it.....I was just in the city a few hours ago for lunch with my sister!

Check out the Air and Space Museum!

My parents are moving to DC so I'm probably going there soon as well.

OK my feet hate DC...but I love it. Walked forever, saw the coolest shit. Here's my list of must sees:

Holocaust Museum
Mount Vernon
Lincoln Memorial (at night)
Jefferson Memorial (at night)
FDR Memorial
Arlington Cemetery (Tomb of the Unknown Soldier during changing of the guard, Iwo Jima Memorial, JFK & RFK graves)
Ford's Theater
National Archives
Library of Congress (skip the capitol tour if you are short on time)
World War II Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Korean War Memorial (all walking distance from Lincoln Memorial)
And of course the Smithsonians: Air & Space is TOO cool Sean! American History has some cool stuff like Old Glory (giant flag that inspired Star Spangled Banner), Natural History cool, Native American history cool.

I could have spent another week there.

Hopefully you got a chance to see the ME-262, the captured Nazi fighter jet. That was my highlight.

I've been to DC twice in the past year for student government conferences, and its an amazing city. Theres wayy too much to do in just 4 days, I think I could spend a few weeks there and not get it all in. I love that city though Smile

I think I'm gonna go to DC sometime this summer for a weekend. Lots of museums and stuff I'd love to check out. I've been there a few times for random things but I've never gotten to explore things the way I'd like to. I'd love to go and check out all of the Smithsonians and everything. Just hope I get some nice weather - DC is amazing in the spring when everything is blossoming.

Go in July and tell me how the weather is.

I am looking at opening an operation in VA near DC area...I hope the summers aren't all humid and full of huge bugs and shit. I'm accustomed to normal things like scorpions and gila monsters.

Damn desert dwellers, bugs are normal, not giant reptiles.

Summer here generally sucks. It's like being suffocated by a hot wet blanket. I guess it's not much better in VA / PA though so Mike should be used to it.

Messy Recipe:  deleted all the last couple years worth of bots & managed to preserve the two real people that have posted since then xD

so many DELETED spam posts now tho that I think I'll need to automate cleaning those moreso than i already have

Messy Recipe:  sry about the bots :( been busy & havent gotten round to doing the usual cleanup

need to prolly stick this behind cloudflare or something

Drunken Monkey:  doing well, been building a hobby ranch of my own, got married, no kids, only dogs, sheep and a horse

Comradekil:  so anyway, i wonder how everyone's lives all progressed.. who's in jail? who's grandparents now.. ha life
Drunken Monkey:  and yes....i do miss 1942 aswell, i honestly think it is what drove me to get a M1 garand in real live, and is still my most used rifle
Drunken Monkey:  bots are getting silly
Comradekil:  Sup dudes
Messy Recipe:  the BAR-1918 always felt so good in that game
Messy Recipe:  I miss vanilla 1942 as much as Pirates... need to see if the Origin version (or even original) still has anyone playing sometime
Stealth:  Hello all! Head to the lounge and post a memory!
Stealth:  I saw a BF1942 fraps video of a guy jumping out of a plane and RPG'd another plane. I immediately came here for nostalgia. Miss you all.
Messy Recipe:  I've not tried Sea of Thieves... kinda was bummed to learn its servers don't allow many simultaneous players. gimme 32v32 galleon fights
Messy Recipe:  oh gosh I really need to automate the spambot removal instead of making myself do it by hand don't I -.-
Drunken Monkey:  merry Christmas you lot
[BB]Piccolo:  Anybody playing Sea of Thieves?
[BB]Piccolo:  I'm amazed I actually still knew my login. We Black Buccaneers certainly had a special relationship with you Cut Throats. Nothing like a fierce rivalry to make the battlefield exciting, eh? :)
