So ordering from there still lets you download it from Steam from there on out?

Awesome find. Done.

Edit: Nevermind. It's declining my card like a bitch. I have never heard of a Mastercard authorization before. That's bullshit.

No, I have a stack of savings. It just won't take the card for whatever reason.

After rough launch and many updates later RO2 is what it supposed to be at launch. Greatly improved and still look's great. I would recommend playing this on Classic mode, which is improved RO1 gameplay and is something many RO1 players wanted all along(theres no zoom and running is slower ect).

Heres some Rising Storm teasers:

Try it out this weekend if you like it. This game has some great value and many more updates on the way. Currently devs are working on making halftracks in the game with 3 new maps on the way. This weekend patch size was something like 5gb big and added two game modes and new map.

Who knows maybe some of you will like it, something different and unique. They have even added CoD style mode that adds crosshair and is more forgiving than vanilla version.

Bump. Bought it for $5 through a Steam sale.

This game is pretty damn fun. It does a good job of being realistic, but not to a suffocating level. The learning curve is not steep if you're already good at FPS. Since there is significant recoil, especially on automatic weapons, you're forced to use cover and positioning to get kills, rather than the usual "who points to the head first and clicks". This leads to clever advances using smoke grenades, trenches, holes, bushes etc. as cover. If you aren't patient, this game can be frustrating, since you have to be pretty aware of where the enemy will be if you don't want to get owned.
