Big Rigs: Over The Road Racing

Someone I know actually had a copy of this game and showed it to me. Sadly, you can't unsee this game. It's so sad and terrible that it's funny. It's so bad that you'll feel dirty and guilty for laughing at it, sort of like if you were making fun of a retarded person. The best part is that this game was actually a success ala The Producers because of how bad it was.

Whats the worst game anyone here has personally played? I think mine has to be Body Harvest for the N64. Yet another game that sold my 10 year old self on it's backstory...

I can't say I've ever played a really bad game. Almost immediately when I started gaming, I paid attention to reviews. I would never blow $50 on a newly release piece of crap. And the dollar was worth more back then too. (Crap did I just say that? I am getting older.)

These days, I hardly ever get commercial games. I'm fine with the old ones I have, and am suffiently amused by indie freeware. Plus, I don't have the same kind of free time I used to.

The worst game I wasted money on was Braveheart circa 1998....just plain awful game play and probably the worst interface ever. Never finished even 1 scenario...ugh.

I've played both E.T. and Custer's Revenge on a 2600 emulator. They're both pretty horrible, but Custer's amazes me that it was ever produced.

Fun side note: We were walking through the campus used games/movies store one time near my birthday, and Beowulf bought me an E.T. cartridge that didn't get buried in the desert in 1983. Best $0.25 birthday gift ever.

Remember those Choose Your Own Adventure books from the late 80s and early 90s? Take that premise and turn it into the world's worst Powerpoint presentation with sound and you pretty much get the idea. The Angry Video Game Nerd is also doing his part to make sure the world remembers the horror that was this piece of shit.

Is it possible for good games to still be awful? Remember Resident Evil? No, not the Gamecube one, the original. That game was hard to play because of the lack of auto turn, the odd camera angles and the difficulty of aiming with tears of laughter in your eyes.
