A surprisingly epic battle was fought with the Bilge Rats today. We played a 5v5 first on Bloody Bayou CTF, then on Short on Supplies. I really mean it when I say this was a close battle, definitely the best showing from BR yet.

The first map was a tug-of-war across the dark Bayou landscape. The CT force concentrated on moving as a squad and overwhelming the BR's, while the BR's were sneaking men around to try and capture the flag. A early flag was scored by lambaste, which was followed by a 20-minute stalemate where the fighting was most fierce. Eventually our new recruit atatme was able to bring in a carry with the assistance of his CT bodyguards, and then CT scored one more for the win.

Short on Supplies was a intense struggle for both teams. The CT side held the flag for the majority of the first half, giving us a huge lead. BR stepped it up hard though and held the flag for extended periods many times, bringing the score within 20 tickets of each other when the BR tickets finally ran out. It should be noted that BR had to play a man down for the majority of this match, things truly could have turned out differently if this wasn't the case.

Awesome game Bilge Rats, our best one yet. I hope to have fierce battles like this with you guys in the future.

[BB]Piccolo:  I'm amazed I actually still knew my login. We Black Buccaneers certainly had a special relationship with you Cut Throats. Nothing like a fierce rivalry to make the battlefield exciting, eh? :)
