Top Reply with quote

Well, I'm not one to cry at movies, but since we're all family, i thought i'd share my somewhat feminin side with movies. I rarely cry at movies, when i say cry i don't mean Baul my eyes out like some girls do, but i get the whimpering, lip-trembling, tear-jerking moments. And the one that has made me cry every time, was Black Hawk Down, i love that movie for the fact that it makes me cry, lol, it's just a brilliant movie, i loved it, the music i think helps me cry because it fits the movie so perfectly. Another movie that has made my cry was The Patriot, but let's face it, when mel gibson cries, everyone is tempted to let the tears flow, Another one is We Were Soldiers, another very touching movie. Those are really the only 3 i can think of off the top of my head. PLEASE, go right ahead and share your moments.

QFE

My buddy wasn't able to sleep for a few nights after watching Black Hawk Down. He said it was so realistic it was given him flash backs (he was with the 10th Mountain Div.)

Wow, Tell him thanks for all he did, from all of us. I too thought the movie was extremely realistic, but i've never seen combat, I never hope to either, but the men that took part in that operation deserve the most respect, I would have HATED to be in that situation, entirely outnumbered, surrounded and wandering through urban terrain full of places where anyone could be hiding. if anyone that reads this was part of that, Thank you, and god bless.

I'll have to be with choc on this one. There are parts in movies that are sad, but I never cry during movies, and I watch ALOT of movies. One that I recently saw that was particularly sad for me was Cast Away. The part where he loses wilson Crying or Very sad I never thought a man losing a volleyball could be so emotional. Then he comes home and eveything's different.

LMAO Castaway, I thought that was more of a comedy than a dramatic type movie, but it was a pretty good movie

I didn't really like Black Hawk Down so much... Saw the Patriot ages ago and I can't really remember it, but that was alrite. Don't think I have cried at any movies.. In school we watched a film of a battle from the first world war, that made me cry

Yeah, to be honest I really couldn't see anyone bawling out loud in a movie (exception: WWII vets watching Saving Private Ryan, okay fine, anyone watching that). I've probably jerked a tear here and there, maybe I bawled when I saw The Lion King when I was five.
