ok, to bring back a dead channel and keep from posting stuff that belongs here, out of the lounge, I seem to have a issue with 1942 that I desperately want to fix.

first off, xp 64 bit pro, symantec endpoint protection anti virus, decent hardware for being 5 years old exetra exetra....

I have recently installed 1942, many mods, the secret weapons expansion (road to rome would not install due to me getting a didget wrong when i wrote down the key some decade ago). after updating it to v 1.61b from patches i had saved on old hard drives, i tried to see if there where any servers my disappointment, nothing came up. some days latter i tried running my own independent dedicated server on the computer through the internet option (v lan) and the game still dint see it. it did see it when it was run as lan. i completely shut off my anti virus to my knowledge, no change, windows fire wall is allways off (too full of holes to be of any good any way). i have tried this all again wile i had the network connection tab open and it looked to me like far too few packages where being sent and received wile 1942 was suppose to be updating its server list for it to actually be looking on the internet for them.

any ideas? it has been a great wile since i have done any on line gaming...having said that, second life does not seem to have any issues.

Stealth:  Hello all! Head to the lounge and post a memory!
Stealth:  I saw a BF1942 fraps video of a guy jumping out of a plane and RPG'd another plane. I immediately came here for nostalgia. Miss you all.
Messy Recipe:  I've not tried Sea of Thieves... kinda was bummed to learn its servers don't allow many simultaneous players. gimme 32v32 galleon fights
Messy Recipe:  oh gosh I really need to automate the spambot removal instead of making myself do it by hand don't I -.-
Drunken Monkey:  merry Christmas you lot
[BB]Piccolo:  Anybody playing Sea of Thieves?
[BB]Piccolo:  I'm amazed I actually still knew my login. We Black Buccaneers certainly had a special relationship with you Cut Throats. Nothing like a fierce rivalry to make the battlefield exciting, eh? :)
Drunken Monkey:  we really do need to find some way to get back together some day some how

Messy Recipe:  well, it'll exist 'til I die or 'til I finally decide to upgrade it
Messy Recipe:  This place will exist 'til I die! I occasionally have to go thru & clean up spambots, but I made some changes in February that prevents the most likely ones to post from making it thru registration & I have a couple tools to ease killing off those that leak by
Drunken Monkey:  you are not alone stealth
JASC^:  Wow, this place still exists!!! Just when I thought everything was gone
Messy Recipe:  Just updated the registration CAPTCHA since Google disabled the text kind and requires the "not a robot" checkbox, also got a proper mailserver setup, so now people can at least register & reset passwords and stuff again!
