I kind of cheated here. I am currently reading though Batman, Batman and Robin, and Batgirl all at the same time in order to get a better idea of what is going on in the story.

I almost did not want to do this review, because every single one of these comic books ended with one scene: The Joker, clad in his signature purple, hair slicked back, face askew, holding a bloody silver platter, its contents hidden by a cover.

None the less, I went on!

Last we checked, the Dark Knight entered an Arkham with its prisoners armed and freed. The Joker has personally armed all of the baddies, and he is setting them lose on Batman. As Batman battles though his royal guards, the royal Groundskeeper Mr. Freeze, the royal Player Clayface, and the royal Physician Scarecrow; he is led to his high council:

Bischop Cobblepot
Judge Dent
Sir Edward the Strategist
and of course the faithful Court Jester

here, the Dark Knight has once choice. Grow old wondering what happened to his kingdom, or sit on his throne and listen to the council of his Jester.

Each new comic I read sends me deeper into a place I do not want to go. Batman and Joker, two titans locked in combat. However, everything has to come to an end and in combat that only means one thing.

The Joker is out in full force, completely unleashed, and one can only wonder: Will he survive this encounter?

I eagerly look forward to next month, when this chapter reaches its conclusion. Be sure to expect me giggling like a certain madman, the entire time.
