Post subject: Mobile games?

I was just curious as to how many people here play any types of mobile games for their phones.

Here's a couple of them I play (on iPhone(:

Kingdoms of Camelot(Battle for the North):

This is a game that I play the most and it's extremely simple. You start off with a city and you build up your city(max lvl 9) and then you build up your troops. You use your troops to attack other cities and steal their resources. Join an alliance and you then can coordinate attacks against other alliances and steal their resources collectively.

The game requires decisive thinking and tact much like you're a general leading your armies to glory. Feels a lot like you're implementing art of war strats here.

---------------

Tapped Out(Simpsons):

I usually don't like the Simpsons as their show seems to have run it's course so many years ago for me. But for some reason, I wanted to try it.

The game is the traditional, level up your city, get xp, repeat.

But what sets the game apart from the rest is actually the quests and comedy. The game essentially makes fun of you and everything you do. The opening sequence is about a 30s clip of Homer playing a rehashed farmville and then stereotyping how stupid people are for playing the game. Yet, he still plays.

Another interesting feature that it seems no game has done yet is that it updates weekly. For every new Simpsons episode that comes on, they add something to the game to promote the new episode.

So for these two things alone, I play occasionally just to see what else is new.

---------------

Battlenations:

This game is something I think most of you would enjoy. For one, it's comedic gold. Secondly, it combines chess, strategy and building all into one.

Your job is to acquire resources to build troops so that you can play a chess style of game. Every unit has it's own strengths and weaknesses used to combat the other troops. But the most interesting part is that when you setup your troops... you have no idea what you're going to face.

You might just have a bunch of heavy tanks and a lot of other armored troops. Come across a team of corrosion specialists and you're fucked.

The random yet strategic style of this game is why I continue to play. You really never know what you'll fight and you fall in love with the storyline and their characters (Something I feel has always been lacking in games).

---------------

The Tribez

This is a single player game that is essentially the Settlers 3.

You are a chief who has come to aid these natives and turn them into greedy money making machines based off of tourism.

You do not encounter other players in this game, you merely settle islands and follow the storyline. I've been playing this game for about a year now and I have yet to get half way in. So the content in this game is massive.

TLDR;

KOC = Art of War Multiplayer game
Tapped Out = Simpsons Funny stereotype game
Tribes = Settlers 3

Chess Time reminds me of the Chess I used to play on a Mac back in the 90s. Good times.

I've only played the Final Fantasy Tactics on my phone. I should check out the others. Cool
