Have any of you watched this show? It's running on Netflix.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfRgVbp9gSY

A New York mobster goes into hiding in rural Lillehammer in Norway after testifying against his former associate.

They are talking mixture of norwegian and english. So far I think this show is really funny. Suprisingly original.

I installed mediawatch.com extension for firefox and now I can see all USA's offerings.

And I can see like atleast twise the amount of stuff compared to Scandinavia's offering. Unbelievable bullshit. If these Netflixes want to broaden their userbase then what's the point limiting 50% or more of the content.

I know couple of people who liked Netflix, but because there was hardly enough stuff in there and too slow to add more, they never subscribed. These all know english and don't need subtitles.

Then they wonder and suck thumbs what to do next, userbase doesn't grow outside of USA, and can't just figure out why. Sure turning Netflix to more like HBO and start making your own series, but theres some easier and cheaper ways to extent the subscribsion base before that.

I like Netflix, but I also have that problem.

With Redbox and Netflix, there is now nothing of value when you've completed the content. I've watched most of Netflix's shows that I want to watch (even some I didn't out of boredom) and redbox only offers a few select movies before taking them down.

They're both great ideas, but severely lacking.

Now I sit at home with nothing to watch unless I go to a damn walmart and buy one of the shitty 5 dollar dvds or go to best buy and buy one of the over priced dvds and box sets.

Man, I miss Blockbuster now.

Edit: Btw, has anyone noticed a complete shitty route the movie industry is going(has been)? It seems like every so often, they'll release a seriously badass movie that everyone wants to watch. Then for a while, we get these really shitty movies.

Caught a few episodes of Lilyhammer on BBC4 in the last few months, it's pretty fun. The main mobster guy is well acted. Guess it'll go on my ever increasing list of things to catch up on.

Not really, I feel the general quality of movies seems to be trending upwards.
