Battlefield 3

I want it for PC but my laptop will probably barely be able to handle it. It looks so damn good though. I wont get it for any other platform. I cant imagine playing any BF game on anything else. Now the question is, will we make Battlefield Pirates 3 for it... XD

They will add the BF2 commorose. Game is pretty nice btw, after playing the alpha it's really going to be a good game. Sounds on this one are even better than they were on BC2 and gameplay little slower.

I can't play it either. Stutters then crashes. Hard to even test settings because of the shit web browser java game don't let me change them at peace and then try out. Preset settings for me are high. And it doesn't even look much better than BC2.

And not to speak about how it always starts on small window like it's not fullscreen. Then having to set it myself and lags after that.

Holy fuck what idiots with this browser shit. Useless work when it's not better than having ingame menu.

I agree the browser is totally stupid. I am running it on my laptop so my specs are just a notch above minimum but it runs pretty smoothly other then the lag. It looks exactly like BC2 for me (maybe a tad worse). I don't care about graphics, I just want to be able to shoot people!

My impressions of the game:

I downloaded it for the 360, as I have a serious hate of EA and didn't want Origin on my computer. The only big difference is that there are less players and the maps are smaller. With that in mind:

-First Game.
I went 7-3, and thats because I only saw seven people. The three I didn't see, shot me from across the map.

-Second and final game.
Start out spawning and getting shot from across the map before I can even move forward. Eventually I make it across the map without dying and attacking a point. We take it since their whole team is at the four corners of the worlds with a sniper aimed at my head. Next we go to the tunnels, this is where the game truly shows its colors. The hall was so dark, I would not be able to see people half the time. I think my final score was something like 18-13

Overall the game left a sour taste in my mouth due to the following:

-You can never see anyone. I tried, there were points where my face was 3 inches away from the screen wondering if someone was there.
-The Killcam focuses so much on the person, its creepy and you never know where they are from.
-Knifing is fucking terrible. You press the button, and half a second later the animation starts.
-The guns are so silent. I feel as I am shooting a paint-ball gun as opposed to a gun. When I fire my guns, I want a loud bang. Think of the AWP from CS, when you fire that people know you have one. When I fire my sniper, people think I popped a ballon.
-Map: Player ratio is way too huge. Imagine playing egypt on a full 24 person server, except that the entire map is available for the same number of people and its more open.
-The Interface is terrible. The letters have a huge front, I can hardly read them and they take to much of the screen up.

My problem with the game is that as a game Battlefield 3 needs to better then Bad Company 2 and CoD to be the best modern shooter on the market. It isn't, it feels like more of a step back from BC2 and more like a generic CoD Death Match pub server. People run around with a spray and pray weapon, aim in a general direction and try to get kills. I loved CoD4 and BC2, but this game, I wouldn't even tell someone to rent it.

Just my 2 cents.

I agree with those points abowe.

Remember that rush mode is not BF mode. Caspian is 64 players and nicely Dice has refuced people from playing it, so all we are getting is BC2 gameplay that is worse than BC2.

Got it, played a bit, not impressed. Maybe it'll grow on me, but it just seems like my gun is worthless, grenades are fucking impossible to kill people with & sniping is unrewarding & useless. I'm still going to give it an honest shot & try to unlock some of the better stuff to see if it's just that the starter weapons blow (like BC2).

I love it and am glad it runs better then the beta did. Still, it feels more like BC2 then classic bf2 which I guess is to be expected. I've still had fun with it. I just wish I had a better fricken computer to play it...
